The Narita Hospitality Academy, which specializes in technical training for hotel workers, will be held in June 2023 in Narita, Chiba. This in-depth training program supervised by the Iconia Hospitality—one of Japan’s leading hotel chains—is designed to develop personnel with advanced hospitality skills.

About the Academy

The Narita Hospitality Academy specializes in post-entry training for foreign technical interns in Japan who wish to acquire skills for work in hotels and other hospitality industry settings. The Academy is located in the Tamatsukuri area of Narita, Chiba, offering convenient access from Narita International Airport as well as a rich natural setting with metropolitan features for an easy lifestyle.
The month-long program, which focuses on the spirit of hospitality, will give participants the courage to take their first steps toward their dream job in hospitality.

Training Program

This in-depth training program—supervised by the Iconia Hospitality, which operates a variety of business-related lodging facilities across Japan—is designed to develop hospitality personnel.
In addition to mandatory training topics including Japanese language training, program participants will learn the basic skills necessary for becoming a hotel staff member while also studying the spirit and culture of hospitality passed down through generations of hospitality workers in Japan. Through this program, participants will establish a strong foundation of skills and knowledge specific to hotel settings, helping to set the stage for technical training at their assigned hotel.

The Academy’s living spaces and facilities offer reliable comfort throughout the program and allow participants to focus on their training without sacrificing privacy. Rooms are designed for single occupancy and include air-conditioning, heating, toilets, baths, and Wi-Fi, ensuring participants a clean, safe space to call their own. The training facility also includes a laundry room and a garden lounge where trainees can talk freely with each other.
The facility’s surrounding areas include supermarkets, convenience stores, hospitals, a city hall building, banks, restaurants, and other establishments to ensure a convenient lifestyle. Also located not far from the facility is a large shopping mall, Narita-san Shinsho-ji Temple, and Narita-san Park, where visitors can enjoy seasonal views including blooming cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage later in the year.

Training Program Hosts

The technical training will be hosted by the Iconia Hospitality, which operates over 170 hotels across Japan from Hokkaido to Okinawa. The Iconia Hospitality offers guests a variety of facilities such as lodging-focused hotels, full-service community hotels, resort hotels, hot spring hotels, and traditional Japanese-style hotels. This gives Academy participants the opportunity to fully demonstrate their newly acquired skills and knowledge in a variety of environments.
